WMF Media manager Gert Andreasen

We were all shocked when we were informed that the WMF board member and Media manager mr Gert Andreasen was in hospital suffering from a stroke only a few weeks after we all met him at WC in Italy. A stroke is really serious, but Gert recovers quite well. He has now left the hospital and transferred to a rehabilitation centre where he will stay a couple of months. WMF board, I’m sure also all the members, wish him a successful and complete recovery after the period of hard training and patience. Gert has now decided to resign from the WMF board and the position as Media manager with immediate effect. I understand and accept his decision and thanks Gert for his work in the WMF since 2006 and earlier in the EMF. It was a pity that the WMF period for Gert was short, but once again we wish him all the best and a complete recovery. In the meantime the German Media manager mr Walter Teupe announced that he was prepared to help WMF in this extraordinary situation with the assistance of the Sport director mr Gerhard Zimmerman. I really appreciate the offered help and I’m pleased to welcome mr Walter Teupe at the WMF as the Media manager. I am looking forward in having Walter in the WMF organization and I´m confident that he will do an excellent job in the media area. Kjell Henriksson WMF President
