WMF sport director on tour visiting Hungary


PhotoOn invitation of the Magyar Minigolf Országos Sportági Szakszövetség (MMOSZ) the WMF sport director Gerhard Zimmermann took part at the opening ceremony of a new regular miniaturegolf course in the Hungarian capital Budapest. There was a high level of interest by media, politicians, the officials of the university and minigolf members. The course is ready prepared for tournaments on all national and international levels.

During an official meeting with many board members of the Hungarian Federation some important topics could be discussed. The course approval system was explained in details and will be started soon with the agreed target to integrate the best existing courses as Minigolf Open Standard Courses (MOS) and to build new regular sport courses of the systems miniaturegolf, minigolf and feltgolf.

PhotoThe WMF sport director was furthermore very impressed of the already scheduled programs for education and spreading minigolf in Hungary with government support. As an offer, worked out by WMF board, there will take place additional an intensive coach seminar for about five interested Hungarian federation members in late summer 2007. They will in future work as coaches or educate other people or players to improve the minigolf sport in Hungary.

As result of the very good actual cooperation the Hungarian board decided to send an application for an international championship in Budapest for one of the next years.

Both parties are very hopeful for a successful cooperation in future.
