The Executive Committee during its recent meeting
has awarded the World Championships 2009 (WC) to the Dansk Minigolf Union. The
WC will be played between August 19 and 22, 2009 on Eternit and Felt courses in
the city of Odense. The final location has to be approved by the Technical
Committee in cooperation with the organizer.
The first option for the
moment is a solution with a temporarily stadium with 36 lanes, only built for
the WC in the city park of Odense. The Dansk Minigolf Union is dealing with the
community to find out, if the stadium can already be built for the Nations Cup.
If there is no possibility for that, the Nations Cup 2009 will not take place
in Odense.
Further decisions for 2009 are going to be done during
meeting of Technical Committee from 02.-04.February 2007.
